Documents Required for Housing Loan /Property Loan (LAP)

Here is list of documents that a borrower has to submit for Housing Loan / Property Loan (LAP)


For Salaried Individuals


1. Proof of Residence - Any one of following

  • Ration Card

  • Telephone Bill

  • Electricity Bill

  • Voters Card.

2. Proof of Identity - Any one of following

  • Voters Card

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Drivers License

  • Employers Card


3. PAN Card


4. Latest Bank Statement / Passbook (where salary / income is credited for past 6 months).


5. Latest 6 Months Salary Slip with all deductions


6. Last 2 years Form 16


7. Last 2 years Income Tax Return along with computation


8. 2 Photos


9. Copies of all Property Documents


10. Statement of Existing Loans along with Sanction Letter



For Self-Employed Individuals and Others 1. Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Statement for the last 3 years.

2. Proof of Residence - Any one of the following

  • RationCard

  • Telephone Bill

  • Electricity Bill

  • Voters Card.


3. Proof of Identity - Any one of the following

  • Voters Card

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Drivers License

  • Employers Card


4. Latest Bank Statement / Passbook (where income is credited for past 6 months).


5. PAN Card


6. Income Tax Return along with computation for last 3 years


7. Business License such as GsT , Shop Act License, Trade License etc

8. 2 Photos


9. Copies of all Property Documents.


10. Statement of Existing Loans along with Sanction Letter

11. Constitution Documents

  • Proprietorship - Shop Act

  • Partnership - Partnership Deed

  • Company - MoA and AoA of Association


It is important to note that a loan is approved only when document verification is successful. So, to get the approval, a borrower must have all documents.
